The Story of the Baroque Pearl

Discover the story behind our baroque pearl jewellery handcrafted at Éclat LM — a celebration of natural beauty, individuality and timeless elegance.

There is something beautifully imperfect about a baroque pearl. No two are ever the same. Their unique shapes remind me that beauty is not about symmetry but about character. Each curve and soft irregular edge tells its own quiet story of time and transformation.

What makes these pearls even more special is where they come from. They are sourced from the crystal clear waters surrounding Jeju Island in South Korea, where the remarkable Haenyeo, known as the sea women, dive by hand to collect them. These incredible women, many now grandmothers, have spent their lives free diving without oxygen tanks, gathering treasures from the sea floor. Their strength, grace and deep connection to nature are truly inspiring.

When I began creating jewellery with baroque pearls, I wanted to capture that same feeling. Something bold yet timeless, imperfect yet elegant. Each piece I design carries a little of that Jeju spirit: resilience, femininity and a story worth wearing.

You will find these beautiful pearls featured in my latest collection, luminous and full of personality. They are the kind of pieces that make you feel effortlessly elegant, even on the most ordinary of days.

At Éclat LM, every design is created by hand with care and intention. I choose each pearl, stone and detail myself, ensuring every piece feels personal, meaningful and one of a kind, just like the women who wear them.
